Sinopec Huadong Sales Co., Ltd. lowered the butadiene price by 2,000 yuan (t price, same below) on the basis of the price reduction of 2,000 yuan again. The butadiene price in East China dropped to 15,500 yuan. From 16,000 yuan in January of this year to 30,000 yuan in mid-August, to the current 15,500 yuan. The price of butadiene, like riding a roller coaster, rushes to the top and falls back to the origin. Market participants believe that under the influence of external disk declines and downstream bearish sentiment, butadiene market conditions will continue to decline, and it is expected that the market price will still have room for downward adjustment.

Due to the impact of credit tension, domestic midstream and downstream producers faced tight funding, and the downstream synthetic rubber production enterprises were underemployed. At the same time, since the third quarter, Yamba's 130,000 tons/year, PetroChina's Sichuan 150,000 tons/year, and Wuhan Petrochemical's 120,000 tons/year butadiene plant drive one after another, as well as Dushanzi Petrochemical, Shanghai Secco, and Shanghai Petrochemical Dingji. The overhaul of the ene production plant ends up increasing the supply of butadiene to the market. Downstream producers have a strong sense of resistance, a drop in operating rates, and several new installations are about to drive. It is expected that butadiene prices will continue to fall.
