As a basic industry of the national economy, molds cover various industries such as automobiles, home appliances, electronics, building materials, and plastic products, and the application range is very wide. In recent years, after continuous development and improvement, domestic mold enterprises have continuously improved their technological level in the process of actively promoting industrial optimization and upgrading, and their development scale has also been increasing. The data of “2013-2017 China Mould Market Development Prospect Analysis Report” released by China Business Intelligence Network Display: From January to August 2012, the output of national molds reached 9,581,100 sets, an increase of 15.98%. In August, China produced 1,248,000 sets of molds, an increase of 9.49% over the same period last year.

From the production of various provinces and cities, from January to August 2012, the output of molds in Hebei Province reached 2,157,700 sets, down 1.15% year-on-year, accounting for 27.30% of the national total. Followed by Shanxi Province, Jiangsu Province and Guangdong Province, accounting for 14.15%, 12.80% and 11.04% of the total output respectively.

The domestic mold industry has experienced substantial accumulation and development over the years, and has achieved substantial breakthroughs. The overall industry strength has been greatly improved. The comparative advantage of China's mold casting in the international market is still obvious, especially in the “12th Five-Year” development plan of the mold industry. Under the guidance of the export-driven strategy, it is expected that although the growth rate of China's mold exports will slow down in 2012, it will still grow at a relatively high speed.
