According to Prague Radio, the first batch of Octavia Green E Line (hereinafter referred to as Octavia Electric Vehicle) produced by Skoda was officially put on the road test on January 11. The test period will last for 12 months and the test journey will be 15,000 kilometers.
The battery pack of the Octavia electric vehicle contains 180 lithium-ion batteries with a total capacity of 26.5 kWh and weighs about 315 kg. The engine has a rated power of 60 kW, a maximum output of 85 kW, a peak torque of 270 Nm, and an acceleration time of 0-100 km/h is 12 seconds. The Octavia electric car has a top speed of 135 km/h and a cruising range of 150 km. It uses engine braking energy recovery technology. The charging time of the electric vehicle is about 8 hours (230 VAC) or 4 hours (400 VAC).
Skoda's CEO, Winfried Wahland, claims that if the test is in good condition, the Octavia electric car will be available in 2014.
Planar beam loadcells, also known as planar force sensors, are used in low profile solutions where space is limited. These loadcells can be used as single or multiple loadcell structured platform scales.
Applications with planar beam loadcells
Most of the applications using planar beams are suited with 3 or 4 pieces for each application. which are used for point-of- sale scales/weighing systems in the 10 to 400 pound range. The low profile weighing equipment can be found in many different applications like medical applications (hospital bed and chairs, baby scales, incubators), checkout counters, agricultural devices, retail scales, bench scales and many other weighing devices.
