1. Using a matching nut to machine the multi-start thread

The most important method for multi-head thread is to solve the problem of thread splitting. If there is an error in the split head, the multi-head thread pitch of the car will be different, which will seriously affect the matching performance of the internal and external threads. In practice, many car mechanics have created many practical methods for splitting according to the characteristics of the workpiece, the equipment used and the size of the processing batch. For example, the clutch splitter, the splitter splitter, etc. belong to the circumferential split, that is, after machining one head of the multi-start thread, the cutter does not move, the workpiece is rotated (360°/number of heads), the second head is processed, and so on. Like a small skateboard split, a dial gauge, a block gauge split, etc. belong to the axial split, that is, after machining one end, the cutter moves axially by one pitch, then the second head, and so on. Splitting the split nut is the latter type of split method. For example, when it is equipped with B665 head planer screw nut, its lead is 12mm and the pitch is 6mm. We use C616A lathe to process the lead with 12mm. After machining one thread, lift the opening and closing nut, forward or backward. After moving a screw with a pitch of 6mm, you can machine the other end. Another example is a four-headed trapezoidal internal and external thread: Tr30×16(P4)-8e, thread length 18mm, small pitch, short thread, many heads, high frequency of splitting, we process on CA6140, lathe wire The pitch of the bar is 12mm. After machining one end, lift the mating nut and move the slide forward or backward by a pitch. Thus, the difference between the workpiece lead 16mm and the lead screw pitch of 12mm is 4mm, just the slide moves a workpiece pitch. Meets the principle of axial splitting.

2. Find the law, add the wheel table space

Generally, when the horizontal lathe is shipped from the factory, the feed box cover is riveted with a thread table that can be processed by the lathe and a sign of the vertical and horizontal cutting gauge (see the attached drawing). The drive shafts we produce have spiral grooves with left and right-handed pitch L=38mm, which are ready to be machined on the CA6140 lathe, but the pitch is not found in the lathe pitch table.

In the figure, there is no 38 pitch, and there are still many spaces in the figure that do not indicate the pitch value, but we can see from the figure:

The value of the transverse pitch is regular, ie the value of the latter pitch is exactly twice the value of the previous term.

The longitudinal pitch value can be calculated from the ratio of the number of teeth of 1 to 8 towers in the transfer box, and the ratio of the pitch of each position is calculated. The number of teeth of the 1st to 8th towers are: 26, 28, 32, 36, 38, 40, 44, 48. For example, the ratio of the seventh wheel to the sixth gear of the tower wheel is z 7/z 6=44/ 40=1.1/1.0, the ratio of the pitch of the seventh row and the sixth row in the same column is also 1.1/1.0. According to this law, the ratio of the pitch of the fifth row to the sixth row is the fifth and sixth rounds. The ratio of the number of teeth z 5 / z 6 = 38 / 40, from which it can be seen that the pitch at the black grid in the table should be 38 (40 × z 5 / z 6 = 40 × 38 / 40 = 38). It is completely correct in actual use in production. With this rule, the pitch value of other spaces in the table can be calculated when needed.
