Five points for the use of bacterial pesticides

Bacterial pesticides are a type of biological pesticide . Bio-pesticide refers to a kind of pesticide preparation that uses biological organisms or their metabolites to control pests, pathogens, weeds, nematodes, rodents and other harmful organisms, or pesticide preparations that have specific effects through biomimetic synthesis. At present, bacterial pesticides are widely used in the control of flower and tree pests. It has the advantages of not polluting the environment, not inducing resistance to pests, not poisoning humans, animals, and high insecticidal efficiency. Bacterial pesticides and chemical pesticides have different insecticidal principles. They are a living system. The insecticidal principle is that the bacteria multiply after entering the worms, producing toxic parasporal crystals, disturbing the normal physiological metabolism of the pests and causing them to die. Improper use can reduce the efficacy or even be completely ineffective. The following five main points are needed to improve the use of bacterial pesticides:
First, look at the wind: the windy days of bacterial pesticides spread large, especially powder, lost more. At the same time, windy days are not conducive to the germination of spores. Therefore, bacterial pesticides should be applied in the absence of wind or light wind.
Second, look at the sun: In order to reduce the damage of ultraviolet light on bacterial spores in the sun, the use of bacterial pesticides is best carried out on cloudy days or after 4 pm, if you can add raw molasses or corn syrup to the powdery bacteria pesticides, It will have a certain effect on filtering ultraviolet rays.
Third, look at the rain: medium to heavy rain will wash the bacteria and pesticides sprayed on the stems and leaves of the plants, reducing the control effect. If there is drizzle 5 hours after spraying, it will increase the effect of prevention. In order to ensure the efficacy, it should be applied in cloudy or light rainy days without medium to heavy rain within 1 to 2 days after application. In case of heavy rain after application, it should be applied immediately after the rain. At this time, the insecticidal effect is best.
Fourth, look at the humidity: the greater the environmental humidity, the better the efficacy of bacterial pesticides. Therefore, the use of bacterial pesticides should be carried out sooner or later in the presence of dew, in order to facilitate the adhesion of the microbial agents to the stems and leaves, and promote spore reproduction, increasing the chance of contact with pests. In addition, the damp soil contributes to the adsorption of the microbial agent, thereby improving the insecticidal effect.
Fifth, look at the temperature: the appropriate temperature for the use of bacterial pesticides is above 25 °C. When the temperature is low to a certain extent, the insecticidal effect is completely lost. Bacterial pesticides are used at 25 to 30 ° C, and the control efficiency is 1 to 2 times higher than that at 10 to 15 °C. Therefore, it is best not to use bacterial pesticides when the temperature is lower than 20 °C.
