Hardware industry may usher in a transformation

Recently, the senior technician schools and Zhejiang University’s Modern Manufacturing Engineering Research Institute have teamed up and the two sides will build a hardware and electromechanical rapid digital design and precision testing center to serve the local hardware and electromechanical industries.

With the development of domestic hardware and electromechanical industries, the competition from various provinces has become increasingly fierce, and the situation of disorderly competition in the hardware and electromechanical industry has begun to appear. The drawbacks of low-cost hardware, low product structure, and low technical content are increasingly exposed. This situation urgently needs to be solved, otherwise there may be a major turmoil in the hardware industry.

This move is undoubtedly a relatively correct approach, namely the development of new technologies. To enter the high-end market, can not do without high-tech and new equipment. Only with advanced equipment resources and relatively advanced technology applications, new technologies can be applied widely and rapidly in the industry. From design and manufacturing to related materials production and heat treatment, an industrial chain is formed and the advantages of integration are prominent.

Xiao Bian believes that in this process, there is one thing that we must pay special attention to. The transformation of the hardware and electromechanical industries must rely on the extensive development model that has mainly depended on the expansion of scale and the increase in quantity, and on the shift from the lean development model that focuses mainly on scientific and technological progress and the improvement of product quality and level. Based on the principles of reduction, reuse, and recycling, we will focus on the reduction of resource consumption and waste emissions, actively implement the preferential policies for comprehensive utilization of national resources, and recycle waste batteries, used household appliances, and old furniture. Wood processing residues, mine waste, sewage treatment plant sludge, and stainless steel processing waste residue utilization. Vigorously develop industrial recycling economy to promote cleaner production. Only in this way can the success of the transition be "sustainable development."
