Both species of aphids can cause serious damage to forestry and wood processing industries. In particular, the former is not yet distributed in China. Once colonized and spread, it will bring immeasurable losses to the wood products industry such as timber and furniture in China. In recent years, Kunshan Port has repeatedly intercepted live locusts from imported wood products in Southeast Asia, although these wood products are accompanied by an officially issued “Phytosanitary Certificateâ€, and the certificates show that they have passed the relevant fumigation treatment in the exporting country, but The actual quarantine situation is not optimistic. Inspection and quarantine personnel analyzed that Southeast Asia is located in subtropical and tropical climate regions, and the wood locusts are complicated, and their wooden products carry a high risk of epidemic. The inspection and quarantine department reminds the relevant importers to promptly inform the exporter of the epidemic information and ask them to take practical measures to improve the quality of the exported wood products, especially the decontamination treatment and post-storage and transportation links, to prevent the spread of the epidemic through product diffusion and avoid unnecessary Loss.
