Gage basic information
Pinyin: [liángjù] vernier caliper
English: [measuringtool]
A gauge is an abbreviation for a physical gauge that is a device that has a fixed configuration in use to reproduce or provide a given amount of one or more known magnitudes. For example, weights, standard batteries, color temperature lamps, resistors, gauge blocks, signal generators, and (single or multi-valued, with or without scales) gauges are all gauges.
The gauge generally does not have an indicator, nor does it contain moving parts during the measurement, but the indicator itself forms an indicator. For example, the measuring device for measuring the volume of the liquid uses the upper end surface of the liquid as an indicator. Although the adjustable measuring device has an indicating device, it is used for the adjustment of the measuring tool instead of for metering, as in the signal generator. This is the measure.
