Ministry of Environmental Protection issued the steel industry production and operation norms environmental review methods

In response to the “Standards for the Production and Operation of the Iron and Steel Industry” issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (No. 105 Gongxinyuan Announcement), on September 20, the General Office of the Ministry of Environmental Protection issued the “Circular on Launching the Verification of Environmental Protection of Existing Steel Manufacturers”. “(Notice)” has deployed the conformity review of environmental protection requirements for the production and operation of existing iron and steel enterprises, and clarified the procedures, time, and content of the review.

The promulgation of the "Notice" provided supporting conditions for the full implementation of standardized management of the production and operation of the iron and steel industry, and played an active role in promoting the standardization of management work as planned. It is now published on the website of the Ministry of Commerce. All local industrial authorities and steel companies must earnestly implement the “Several Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on Further Strengthening Energy Saving and Emission Reduction to Accelerate Structural Adjustment of the Steel Industry” (Guobanfa [2010] No. 34). In accordance with the spirit of the document, in accordance with the "Code for the Production and Operation of the Steel Industry" issued by the Ministry of Industry and the "Notice" issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the steel industry is actively carrying out the production and operation standardization work.
