This hand-carved concept bottle presents a nautical theme through several three-dimensional traits, including the etching of an octopus on the bottle. “Our goal for this concept design is to go beyond traditional etching and engraving to open up new possibilities for our customers,†said Rick Rangler, senior designer at ScorCreative. “We want to help our customers get rid of traditional trademarks and create one. artwork."
According to ScorCreative senior designer Greg Hurley, this unique design gives the bottle a strong shelf appeal. “Ultimately, the charm of this bottle and the attractive shelf appeal will inspire consumers to buy.†The PET bottle includes a cork stopper, a bottleneck finger hole and an octopus etched at the shoulder of the bottle.
“This breakthrough design of etching and engraving is simply not possible with traditional 3D modeling software,†Hurley said. “This concept bottle demonstrates Amcor's efforts to use cutting-edge technology to cross PET boundaries and traditional packaging constraints. â€
ScorCreative will draw on this conceptual design and make adjustments to create a commercially viable container. One of the main goals is to use 3D CAD models to create complex and detailed details through the blow molding process, pushing this conceptual design to the shelf.
