P&G invests $1 million to build a plant in Indonesia

Recently, U.S. Procter & Gamble Company established a factory in Indonesia for the production of baby diapers, with an expected investment of US$1 million. Ismail, President and Director of Indonesian Procter & Gamble Company stated that Indonesia is an important market for baby care. The company revealed that it will take two years to complete the construction of the plant and will be fully operational afterwards.

Procter & Gamble follows the example of other international consumer goods companies that have expanded the market to Indonesia. According to sources, there are 11 countries in Asia with 6 of the most populous population, and Indonesia has 17 million people who are under 4 years of age. Procter & Gamble Company stated that within five years, the factory can achieve diaper demand for about 8 million infants in Indonesia. The Indonesian government hopes that Procter & Gamble can help stimulate the growth of Indonesia's consumer goods industry to invest in entrepreneurial opportunities.
