HC Plastics News: SK Chemicals, headquartered in South Korea, has added a new member to its Ecozen bio-based copolyester series, which is sold under the EcozenHF brand name.
SK Chemical and its long-term distribution partner Velox GmbH showcased new levels of products. This material has high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance and high transparency. It is an alternative material for aluminum, PET and glass.

According to FrançoisMinec, General Manager of Velox, this material is suitable for aerosol, cosmetic and hot filling applications.
“As a glass substitute, it not only helps to reduce weight, saves on transportation costs, it can also be used to produce hot-fill containers without the need for costly PET heat setting processes,†he said.
It is said that EcozenHF can be completely mixed with PET in the recycle stream.
This new product is available through Velox in almost all European countries.
