HC Plastics News: Solvay Specialty Polymers (Polat, Italy) and Husky Injection Molding Systems, Inc. (Toronto, Canada) will launch the Verian High Barrier Polyester Series (VerianHBP). Veria nHBP is a renewable, high performance polymer that delivers a new generation of sustainable PE packaging solutions that expands Solvay's specialty polymer portfolio for barrier packaging.
"VerianHBP, developed in collaboration with Husky, demonstrates our strength in designing cutting-edge, game-changing products and technologies," said Augusto Di Donfrancesco, president of Solvay Specialty Polymers.
At the upcoming Drinktec 2017, Husky (A4, 338) will launch a HyPETHPP5, which will produce a 17-gram carbonated beverage bottle with a Husky trademark on-site at Solvi's VerianHBP. The high-speed molding of the HyPETHPP5 platform combines an advanced melt delivery system with a highly sophisticated control system. Husky's multi-layer technology enables new production capacities, enabling Verian HBP to achieve the most precise dispersion in a multi-layer preforming step.
