Ten basic principles of safe driving

1. Whether seated in the front or rear seats, passengers must wear seat belts. In car accidents, the proportion of deaths due to the lack of seat belts is twice as high as the proportion of seat belts.
2. Stay focused while driving the vehicle. Don't be disturbed by the passengers next to you, or be distracted by the beautiful scenery.
3. Do not blindly follow road signs and markings. Be more cautious in corners or uphill and downhill roads, and the oncoming traffic is often on the other side that is out of sight.
4. Maintain a safe following distance, especially not behind large vehicles. The closer you are to the car in front, the less you can't see the road ahead, and it's hard to dodge when something unexpected happens.
5. Don't just stare at the tail of the car in front. Observe the road conditions ahead at any time. Only when there is a danger can you have time and space to take better evasive measures.
6. Regularly check the tires for old wear. On wet roads, the grip of worn tires will be greatly reduced.
7. Check the rearview mirror frequently. This is a necessary action when changing the route or overtaking.
8. Don't occupy non-motorized lanes. Even if it stays within the safe speed limit, unexpected situations can easily occur in crowded non-motorized lanes.
9. Be careful when driving at night. On sections without street lights, animals such as cats and dogs often ran out, triggering the driver's unconscious avoidance reaction.
