Structure and application of gantry hydraulic calibration machine (2)

2. Scheduling principle and operation example

It is well known that in the welding process, due to local, uneven heating and cooling of the weldment, the degree of thermal expansion and contraction of the metal of each part of the welded joint is different. Since the weldment itself is a whole, the parts are mutually constrained and cannot be freely elongated and shortened, which causes uneven plastic deformation inside the joint, so stress and deformation are generated during the welding process. The types of deformation are roughly classified into longitudinal contraction deformation, lateral contraction deformation, angular deformation, bending deformation, wave deformation, distortion deformation, and wrong edge deformation. Among them, angular deformation and distortion deformation are common, and it is difficult to correct with distortion.

(1) When the workpiece produces a symmetrical angular deformation, if the flame correction is used, it is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive, but sometimes it is reworked because of over-heading. However, it is very convenient to use a gantry-type calibration machine, which can be measured while trimming. As shown in Figure 2, the arrows represent two cylinders, and " <" represents the support point.

(2) When the workpiece is distorted, it takes a lot of effort to use flame correction, and it is much simpler to use a gantry type machine. As shown in Figure 3, the front arrow represents the hydraulic cylinder, the rear arrow represents the locking point of the sub-gantry, and the "<" represents the support point. The specific calibration step is to open the traveling motor to move the hydraulic cylinder out of the calibration platform, put the support, lift the workpiece, lock the workpiece with the support point (screw) of the auxiliary gantry, and move the hydraulic cylinder to the calibration position. You can start the calibration until the distortion is corrected. Depending on the degree of deformation, the calibration point and the tightening point can be changed multiple times. Be sure to suspend the position where deformation is required. When the hydraulic cylinder is depressed, the force of elastic deformation must be overcome.

In addition, the machine also has the function of a common press, which can be press-fitted and bent, and equipped with a special mold to form and bend the workpiece. It is a versatile and versatile general-purpose equipment. After several years of use, it has achieved good results.

Titanium Alloy

Titanium alloy is a class of metallic materials widely used in various high-performance applications. It is a combination of titanium with other elements, such as aluminum, nickel, molybdenum, and vanadium, to enhance the properties of pure titanium.

One of the key advantages of titanium alloys is their high strength-to-weight ratio. They are significantly lighter than steel while being just as strong, making them ideal for aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft. Moreover, titanium alloys possess excellent corrosion resistance, which makes them highly suitable for marine, offshore, and chemical processing environments.

In addition, titanium alloys exhibit good biocompatibility, which makes them suitable for medical implants such as artificial joints, dental implants, and pacemaker cases. They also have high fatigue resistance, low thermal expansion coefficient, and excellent weldability.

Overall, titanium alloys have become an essential material in many industries, including aerospace, marine and offshore engineering, chemical processing, biomedical engineering, and sports equipment. As research continues to advance, it is expected that more innovations in the field of titanium alloys will arise, paving the way for even safer and more efficient applications.
