The 2800kw planetary gear reducer jointly developed by the Shanghai Branch of the Coal Research Institute and the Suzhou Metallurgical Machinery Plant of Baosteel Group is the largest planetary gear reducer currently used in China's building materials and metallurgical industries. In September 2004, the reducer was applied in the main drive system of No. 1 cement mill of Hebei Jinniu Energy Cement Factory, and it has been running for 7500 hours. More than 30 experts conducted on-site observations on the operation of the reducer, and concluded that the overall performance parameters and functional indicators of the reducer have reached the international advanced level.
